Our collection of antique/vintage Dzi Beads

In the early 2000’s at the time that new and unknown age Dzi Beads were not popular in the West, we acquired about 1000 Dzi beads along with Thogchag, Mala and other Buddhist artefacts, with the main intention to support Tibetan tradition and trade. In one of our travels we befriended a group of Tibetan Lama Monks who were traveling in Tibet, India and other parts of Asia for organised spiritual meetings with devotees. As per tradition Dzi, Thogchag and other Tibetan artefacts were handed to the Lama. They will undertake ancient methods of purification, blessing and empowering and every few month they were sold to us, to support their pilgrimages.

*These Beads are not ancient. Neither they are not mass-produced new beads made of reformed agate or other materials. They are not factory carved, printed or machine etched beads. Our Dzi Beads are hand made only of high-quality agate, while fakes are often crafted from less valuable materials such as glass, resin, stone, or plastic *

Ultimately, these Beads are incredible work of art, meticulously crafted by hand, with extreme attention paid to details and symbols, a process that can take many days, and imbuing them with a truly unique beauty that can inspire and enchant all those who behold them. The vibrations and energy of this Dzi beads are remarkable, and they make for an excellent addition to any collection.

Over the years many of the Dzi beads we sold proved to be truly worth of worship. Many of our clients shared the experiences they had with our Dzi.

At our store, we place great emphasis on the authenticity and value of each of our Dzi beads, taking into account factors such as age, history, colours, surface, decoration, perforation, clarity, rarity, and signs of wear

We are more than happy to answer any queries you may have about each individual piece in our store

Do antique Dzi Beads exist

The subject of Dzi beads is as fascinating as it is mystical, having captivated the imaginations of both experts and enthusiasts alike. Despite numerous theories that have been put forth by those in the field – such as dealers, booksellers, and researchers – the true origins of these sacred Beads remain shrouded in mystery. However, according to Lin Tung-Kuang, whose book on Dzi beads is widely renowned as the only credible source on the subject, these Beads may have first been formed anywhere in the range of 900 to 4000 years ago.

Moreover, some Tibetan Lamas have claimed that some types of Dzi beads have been made in Tibet in the 18thand 19th Century, adding yet another layer of history and significance to these fascinating objects. We have extensive experience with ancient and vintage Dzi Beads and some of the Dzi we encounter don’t really fit into any of this two categories, leaving the antique theory as a possibility. Without a doubt, in our collection, we own Dzi Beads that are sure to be at around 200 years old made of various materials, so we know that some Dzi were made in the 19th century
