  This truly beautiful Bead is often referred to as a ‘Fat Bead’ because of of its thickness. 

  As with all the ancient Dzi Beads, it was created from a superb quality natural Agate.  It is opaque, with a whitish-cream colour and an opaque dark brown middle band. It has natural lines showing on one side. The surface has a strong, waxy skin that characterizes ancient beads.

  Perfectly preserved perforations at both ends and surface, apart from the time covered small dings that add to its character and beauty.

  This would be a wonderful first ancient dzi beads and provides many ancient beads characteristics that could serve for learning identification.
