Ancient Two Eye Dzi Bead with Dragon Shade Markings & 18k Gold Caps c. 2000 Years
A genuine ancient Tibetan two eye Dzi bead estimated at approximately 2,000 years old, displaying a striking combination of deep brown and warm ivory “tooth” tones with naturally occurring dragon shade markings highly regarded among collectors.
This beautifully hand-carved agate bead carries strong age characteristics including multiple horseshoe weathering signs, rounded ancient line work, soft oily patina, and a silky tactile surface impossible to imitate convincingly in modern beads.
The bead was personally collected from a Tibetan lama over 12 years ago and has remained in a private collection since. One naturally worn area has been respectfully protected with custom handmade 18k gold caps, allowing the bead to continue being worn safely while preserving its integrity and beauty.
An increasingly difficult type of authentic ancient Dzi to source today, particularly in this quality, condition, and distinctive character.
Size:
38 mm x 11 mm including gold caps
31 mm bead alone
