• Sourced during my personal travels through the high-altitude plateaus of Tibet, these coral counters carry the unmistakable character of the 19th century. In the harsh environment of the Himalayas, red coral was prized as a “life-stone,” believed to be a gift from the earth’s own vital essence. These counters were historically used to track the progress of long spiritual retreats, absorbing the focused intentions of the practitioners who moved them bead by bead. Their soft, organic luster is a result of decades of reverent handling.

• Origin: Tibet / Himalayas (Personally collected)

• Estimated Age: 19th Century or earlier

• Material: 100% Natural, Undyed Himalayan Coral

• Size: Approximately 6mm-8mm beads on a traditional cord

• Condition: Excellent antique wear; rich, natural color with smooth, waxy patina
